"The soil is the great connector of lives, the source and destination of all. It is the healer and restorer and resurrector, by which disease passes into health, age into youth, death into life. Without proper care for it we can have no community, because without proper care for it we can have no life."       Wendell Berry

Each interview added to my knowledge about egg farms, so in time my questions became more informed. I quickly realized that there is an art to interviewing and I have yet to master it. After listening to over 45 hours of interviews, rather than just present each interview in its entirety, I decided to create clips of each interview. Each individual's interview would be edited so that my voice was generally removed. Clips were organized into broad sections that dealt with history, experiences and reflections. Other sections are based on Origins, Information, Daily Operations, Commercial as well as reflections on the decline and aftermath. One entire section is devoted to Inter-County Feed Co-operative, including individuals who worked for the Co-op. Each section has pertinent video clips from the individual interviews, concerning the topic at hand. In total, this collage of clips reveals a very personal history of egg farms in Sullivan County. In the People page, the full interview exists without any edits.
